Rep. Cary Condotta continues to caution restraint
Rep. Cary Condotta talked with KONA about the last thirty days at the statehouse, sharing with listeners that legislative activities in recent days have created an atmosphere that feels more like a long session. Condotta says it has been a major challenge because there are fewer days available to handle the extensive workload. Said the Republican from East Wenatchee: “There's been a real scamper around here to get bills moved. There's a lot of volume.”
One key problem, according to Condotta, is the amount of requests for funding coming through. The lawmaker, who sits on the Appropriations Committee, is in a unique position to do the math. And, as in the past, Condotta is cautioning that lawmakers will have to show restraint.
