Dear Friends and Neighbors,

In my last update I mentioned both chambers had introduced budget proposals for the operating, capital and transportation budgets. Unfortunately, with less than a week left, budget talks have stalled. Click on the photo below to get an update on the latest. I also talk about some of the bad legislation we have seen this session.

Rep. Cary Condotta records his April 20 video update in the rotunda. There is already talk about special session. I find this concerning and somewhat ridiculous. I believe the Senate has put forth a innovative spending plan, and while not perfect, shows the state can live within its means.

Democrats continue to argue we need additional revenue – despite having a 9 percent increase in revenue, amounting to $3 billion.

I will provide you with another update later this week. I hope to have some more positive news to share with you.

Sincerely,

Cary Condotta
