12th District representatives to host telephone town hall on March 15

Reps. Mike Armstrong and Cary Condotta will be hosting a telephone town hall meeting on Thursday, March 15. The program works much like a call-in radio show. Constituents will be able to ask questions of their representatives or just listen during the hour-long forum.

People who want to participate can join the conversation beginning at 6:30 p.m. by calling toll-free 1-877-229-8493 then entering PIN number 19560.

“I'm looking forward to talking with the folks back home about the issues we've been dealing with during this legislative session. This is an opportunity for them to get an update on the budget, transportation, education and other legislation that passed or didn't pass over the last two months. The best part is that it is convenient for people, because they can participate from the comfort of their homes,” said Armstrong, R-Wenatchee.

During the program, the legislators will listen to residents, answer questions and discuss a variety of topics related to the 2012 session. Once on the line, participants may select star 3 on their telephone keypads to ask a question, or they can simply listen in and take part in instant polls. There will also be an opportunity at the end of the call to leave a message.

“No matter the time of year, this forum is a great way to hear from our constituents,” said Condotta, R-East Wenatchee. “It will be a good opportunity to talk about the legislative session. We can also discuss the issues that went unaddressed and what we can work on to set a new course for the future.”

Constituents unable to participate in the telephone town hall meeting can reach Armstrong at (360) 786-7832 or Mike.Armstrong@leg.wa.gov. Condotta can be reached at (360) 786-7954 or Cary.Condotta@leg.wa.gov.
