Rep. Cary Condotta gives passionate floor speech opposing House Democrats’ spending plan

In his floor speech on the House Democrats’ proposed operating budget, Rep. Condotta hits on the large increase in proposed spending and the new and increased taxes. The budget would increase spending by 17 percent in the next biennium and 15 percent in the 2019-21 biennium. It also relies on tax increases including  – a capital gains income tax, modifications to our state’s B&O tax, a change to the real estate excise tax, and closing some tax exemptions.
