Rep. Cary Condotta: ‘It’s not looking good for the gov.’

The Senate ouster of Transportation Secretary Lynn Peterson and the governor’s speedy response to the firing continue to bring to the forefront several key issues confronting the state.  Of primary concern: transportation, and the on-going troubles with I-405 tolling, the SR 520, the Alaskan Way Viaduct, and the Washington State Ferries.

But there are also questions being asked about the governor’s relationship with the House and Senate following what some describe as his whiny response once lawmakers voted ‘no’ on confirmation of the head of the Department of Transportation, Lynn Peterson.

Governor Jay Inslee is saying the ouster was a “political move” by Republicans. However, Republican State Representative Cary Condotta had his own take on the governor’s reaction.
