Dear Friends and Neighbors,
On Friday, July 10, after 176 days of session, the Washington State Legislature finally adjourned after completing its official business. The Legislature approved a $38 billion operating budget – I voted “yes” and also passed the largest gas tax increase in history – I voted “no.”
In this email update I will break down the good and bad of the operating budget, give a brief overview on how the capital budget impacts the 12th District, share with you more details on the gas tax plan, and discuss the politics played during the final couple weeks.
It is great to be back in the beautiful 12th District. I look forward to meeting with you if you have questions, concerns and comments on the session. If you have any ideas for future legislation please do not hesitate to contact me. I am also available to speak with groups or organizations or tour facilities in the region. I look forward to seeing you in the region.
Sincerely,

Cary Condotta
